Voigtländer is proud to anounce the ultra-fast Nokton 50mm f/1 Aspherical VM Lens a full-frame ultra-fast lens for rangefinder cameras in Leica M Mount.

Voigtländer's aim in creating this ultra-fast standard focal length lens is to create a lens that is sharp edge to edge with a beautiful bokeh and the ability to separate the subject from the background. To achieve this the front element is a precision ground aspherical element (GA) that allows high refraction glass to be used. The use of high refractive index glass in the first element had the added bonuses of allowing the lens design to be simplified and the overall size of the lens to be reduced. The addition of a floating elements allows them to be moved for optimum performance at different shooting distances.
